Ethernet cable not working
A wired connection is showing as connected but has no internet, or isn't detected.
Step-by-step fix · 3 steps

Check the cable is firmly seated at both ends (laptop and wall or router port) — a half-inserted cable can still show as 'connected' but with no internet.

Try a different Ethernet port if one is available.

Restart the laptop.
