Wireless mouse or keyboard not responding
Peripheral stopped working — cursor frozen, keys unresponsive, or mouse jumping.

Check the power switch on the underside of the mouse — it is easy to knock it off in a bag.

Replace or recharge the battery — low battery often causes intermittent rather than total failure, which can look like a software issue.

Unplug the USB receiver and plug it into a different USB port.

For Bluetooth: turn Bluetooth off and back on from the Windows taskbar, then re-pair via Settings → Bluetooth & devices.

Restart the laptop.
